Episode 18: Making Sobriety Stick (a Letter from a Reader)

In this episode, Holly and I answer another letter from a reader, "Concerned in Colorado." She's wondering how to wrap her head around the idea of "putting that shit down" and making it stick, like, forever. So we talk about that, why self-medicating is actually very intelligent (and not idiotic, like the reader suggests), how we differ on the "One Day at Time" philosophy and a bunch more. Holly's doing this ep from a coffee shop, so there's a wee bit of background noise.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Some BIG stuff is coming soon, lovelies! At the end of this month, we're interviewing Sarah Hepola, author of Blackout, and Anne Dowsett Johnston, author of Drink: The Intimate Relationship Between Women and Alcohol. To say we're excited about these interviews is a wee understatement. The episodes will both air in December.
